When the best Airmail pilot Henri Guillaumet disappears in the Andes, his best friend Antoine de Saint-Exupéry decides to go in search of him against all odds. The Little Prince was in every household, so the author’s story was eagerly awaited. The story is about a time when his childhood friend Gillaumet and they worked for the postal service between Argentina and Chile. So far so good. They are childhood friends and the same age. Now, here’s the problem, when they get older the age difference is almost 20 years. So here’s my criticism. Why do they cast Cassal, who is 57, to play a 29-year-old? Saint Ex should be 30, a 41-year-old is still ok. Diane Krueger was chosen to match Cassal’s age. Doesn’t the French film industry have young actors? So, the choice of actors, although the good actors were bad. The images were great, but the scenes on the plane are not realistic!
